Maximum quoting allowed

Newcomers to mailing lists will sometimes post a message that contains only the words "I agree" after quoting an entire previous message. These "me to" messages can be frustrating to other members of the mailing lists.

Generally, it is considered good etiquette to quote enough of a previous message to make your point, and give context, but not to quote excessively.

This Lyris List Manager feature allows you to set a limit on the number of consecutive lines that may be quoted in a response message. Thus, if you set the limit to 20 lines and two paragraphs of 15 lines each are quoted, Lyris List Manager will let the message through, since each paragraph is less than 20 lines. However, if a single, 30-line paragraph were quoted, the message would have been rejected.
