Incoming Mail Processing

This option sets whether incoming mail is handled in memory, which is faster, or if they are saved in the incoming mail database, and processed there.

This approach allows your server to quickly deal with incoming mail messages as they arrive, without having to take the time to write to the database. This speeds up the mail processing speed considerably. The disadvantage of this method is that when a message is processed in memory, in which case there is no record of it in the database and so you cannot later "audit" its behavior by looking for it in the incoming mail web page or the outgoing mail web page.

If you prefer, you can have Lyris List Manager save messages in the incoming mail database instead, which allows you to easily view what messages that it receives.
