Auto-Responders

An autoresponder is an email address that always responds by sending a document to whoever emails to it.

For instance, set up a "prices@yourcompany.com" autoresponder that sends out price list to anyone who emails to it.

Auto-responders are an effective and simple way of distributing information. They perform a similar function to "Fax on demand", except for the electronic mail realm.

Note: If you have many auto-responders, you will probably want to set up one auto-responder that returns a "Table of contents" of all your auto-responders. This will enable your users to determine which documents they are interested in, and how to obtain them.
