Administrator Login

Before you can proceed beyond this page, you will need to enter a username and password. Depending on the your existing security level, you will be allowed to proceed to the list admin, site admin or server administrator menus. If you do not have an administrator account on this ListManager server, you will not be able to access the administrator menus. (Note: Administrator privileges are set in the People section of Site Admin or Server Admin.) ListManager has different pages for List Administrators, Site Administrators and Server Administrators.

Create New Site

(Requires Server Administrator access). Allows a Server Administrator to bypass the Server Admin Menu to create a site and topic quickly. This option is the same as the Create Site (Quick) button in the Server Admin menu. Please see Create Site (Quick) for more information.

Create New List

(Requires Site or Server Administrator access). Allows a Site or Server Administrator to bypass the Site Admin Menu to create a list quickly with appropriate default settings for the type of list being created. Server Administrators may create a list under any site or topic on the server, whereas Site Administrators are limited to their particular sites. A site must already exist on the server in order to create a new list. If no site exists, ListManager will attempt to create a default site. For the Internet host name, ListManager will use the helo text value if one is defined, or by performing a reverse lookup on the primary IP address if it is not. If there is no helo text defined and no reverse DNS for the primary IP address, you will be first asked to create a site using the Create Site (Quick) page. This option is the same as the Create Mailing List (Quick) button available in the Site Admin Mailing lists menu. Please see Create Mailing List (Quick) for more information.

Create New Message

(Requires Site, Server, or List Administrator access). Allows an admin to bypass the List Admin Menu to create and send a message quickly. Administrators can post messages to lists according to their security permissions; Server Administrators may post to any message on the server, Site Administrators may post to any list on their permitted site(s), and List Administrators may post to any lists for which they are administrators. If there are no lists on the server, you will be first asked to create a new list using the Create List (Quick) page. Regular list members cannot send a message using the Create New Message Shortcut. This option is the same as the Send Message button available in the List Info menu. Please see Send Message for more information.
