Creating a Message, Step 5: Text & AOL Versions

On the Text page, you can create a text version of your message for recipients who cannot view HTML email messages.  

If your message is in Multi-part/HTML format and you have added HTML, you can create the text version from your HTML code. Alternately, you can upload content from a text file.

To create the text version from HTML code

This option is available only if your message is in Multi-part/HTML format.

• On the right navigation bar, click Create Text from HTML.

The HTML content is added to the text message.

To upload content from a text file

1. On the right navigation bar, click Upload Text.

The Upload Text page opens.

2. Click Browse, navigate to the file you want, then click Open.

3. Click Upload.  

The content is added to the message and the Upload Text page closes.

To preview your work

• Select the Preview Text tab.

Next steps  

After you finish, click SAVE, then do one of the following:

• Click Back to return to the HTML page
• Click Save & Next to add notes and tasks
