Spam Filters

EmailAdvisor analyzes your message against four types of spam filters:

 

Stand-Alone Client Filters

These filters are installed on recipients' computers, and they filter mail before the mail is received by the recipients' email client.

 

Server Filters

These filters are installed on a server that filters mail before the mail is downloaded by recipients.

 

ISP Filters

These filters are run by internet service providers and filter mail before it is downloaded by recipients.

 

Email Client Filters

These filters are built into an email client.

 

Disposition Icon

An icon indicating whether the message was considered spam by this filter. The options are:

Name

The name of the spam filter.

 

Filter Setting

The optional setting used when testing your message.

 

Location

Whether or not the message was received, and if so, which mailbox (e.g., inbox, bulk folder).

 

Details

Any details provided by the spam filtering software. Note that many anti-spam programs do not provide reasons why a message has been flagged or rejected as spam.
