HTML Editor Tutorial: Part 4

 

Changing Cell Properties

 

1.      Click the first cell in the table to position the pointer there.

2.      Right-click inside the cell, point to Cell, and then select Cell Properties.

3.      Choose the following settings:

 

           Height: 40 pixels.

           Background Color:

           Click Select, choose a light yellow shade, and then click OK.

 

4.      Click OK again to close the Cell Properties dialog.

5.      Reposition the pointer to the line beneath the table.

 

Inserting a Horizontal Line

 

Click the Horizontal Line button.

Inserting a Hotlink

 

1.      Make sure the pointer is positioned at the bottom of the page.

2.      Type:

 

           Go to Lyris.com

 

3.      Highlight the text you just typed.

4.      Click the Insert/Edit Link button.

     This opens the Link dialog.

 

5.      In the URL box, type:

 

           www.lyris.com

 

6.      Click the Target tab.

7.      Click the Target box, and then choose New Window (_blank).

8.      Click OK.

9.      Click at the bottom of the page to deselect the text.

           The Go to Lyris.com text is blue and underlined, indicating that it is now a link.

 

When you are finished, click the Maximize button to return to the normal view.
