Major New Features

New EmailAdvisor Interface

ListManager now uses the new and improved EmailAdvisor interface.

Longer Clickthrough URLS

ListManager may make URLs up to 4000 characters long into clickthrough tracking URLs. Some browsers do not support URLs over 2000 characters, so we recommend you do not exceed that length.

Plain-Text Digests

Digests strip out all HTML and attachments, making them easier to read. Indexes will also display the first line of text, instead of encoding.

Minor New Features and Changes

    The segment Insert Clause wizard now gives the option to match the case of the text you enter as part of your query.

    Segments joining to tables outside of the ListManager table schema work correctly for Oracle.

    Archives are indexed in plain-text.

Version 8.9a

    Faster upgrades from previous versions for users with large members_ tables.

    Better support for japanese mail merge.

    Accept bans now allow full email addresses, not just domains. This was the behavior of Accept bans in versions 8.1 and earlier.

    Track All URLs will correctly encode URLs that contain these short mail merge tags: %%messageid%% and %%memberidchar%%.

Version 8.9b

    Faster database performance when creating new mailings, especially on MSSQL databases.

    Mail queue deadlocks when updating homepage statistics prevented.

    Unintentional list switches prevented.

    Several issues with suppression lists corrected.

    Content: Insert URL: Unsubscribe URL defaults to current list, instead of all lists.

Version 8.9c

    Digests are sent even if a message contained corrupted or bad MIME encoding.

    Conditional content with spaces may be used with the HTML editor.

    Messages containing Japanese characters are displayed correctly in the interface, and Japanese is merged correctly into mailings.
