Supported Platforms and Database Servers

With the exception of MSDE (Windows), Lyris ListManager connects to and uses your database. Lyris Technologies does not provide technical support for installation, use or maintenance of MS SQL, or Oracle. Contact your database vendor for more information about support for these databases.

NOTE: ListManager has been tested using 32 bit machines.

Windows

For Windows operating system ListManager supports:

• Windows 2000/XP/2003/2008/7 Standard Server
• Server 2008 is supported R1 and R2
• Server 2012
• Server 2016

NOTES:

• ListManager has been tested using 32 bit machines
• Windows 2003 Server Web edition is not supported for Microsoft SQL server, as Microsoft SQL Client Tools cannot be installed on this platform.

Database Servers

• Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition (Make sure named pipes and TCP are enabled)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 SP4, 2005, 2008 (R1 and R2), 2012, 2014 and 2016
• Oracle 10gR1 and 10gR2 , and 11g (using a 32 bit client toolset)

Linux

For Linux operating system ListManager supports:

• Red Hat Linux ES, AS, and WS versions 3.0 and 4.0, 5.0, 5.11, 5.2, 6, 6.7 and 7.

For Linux database ListManager supports:

• Oracle 10gR1 and 10gR2 , and 11g (using a 32 bit client toolset)

NOTE: If you are installing AS 4, you need to also install the following:

# rpm -Uvh compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.3.i386.rpm

NOTES:

• Fedora core is not supported
• ListManager can use up to 31 IP addresses 

Web Browsers

The current versions of following web browsers are officially supported:

• Internet Explorer (7 to present)

• Edge
• Firefox (25 to present)
• Chrome (31 to present)
• Safari (5.1 to present)

NOTE: The current versions of following web browsers are not officially supported, but should work:

• Netscape 8.1

NOTES:

• The HTML Editor does not work for Netscape 8.1 or Safari.
• Javascript is not supported in the HTML Editor.
• Macromedia Flash Player is required for the Report Dashboard.
