More What's New for April 2009
General
What’s New
- Twitter integration. We have added a Twitter Search feature to the Talk About It panel on the Dashboard. This allows you to stay on top of what people are saying about you or your competitors on Twitter.
- All new users will receive a personalized Welcome email with pertinent information such as login, Help and Training links, and more.
What’s Changed
- The Talk About It panel now includes Twitter integration as described above.
- Administrators can now resend email notification (e.g. Welcome email, password change request, email change request, etc) to users in case they missed the email the first time. This is especially important for agencies so they can resend these emails without contacting Tech Support.
Email Marketing
What’s New
- New data grid toggle and save state for the Message Overview enables you to close the chart and cover flow to save space and memory. The save state will remember if the toggle was opened or closed.
- List selector on the messages screen. The screen defaults to “all lists” but lets you drill down and show messages from only one set of lists if you prefer.
- Ability to select/add multiple Suppression Lists in Lyris HQ.
- Updates to the Social Media enhancer: additions of Twitter and MySpace.
- API call to upload a file to the blacklist.
What’s Changed
- No more reload button on View Messages; pages will update automatically as necessary.
- Pages referred through the social enhancer do not allow unsubscribes or profile updates from the posted page.
- “From” address in the new Message Creation interface now allows merge tags. The validation from that field has been removed.
- Default time for scheduling a message will be blank rather than set for midnight.
- Furl has been removed from the social media enhancer because the company has been taken over by another and that site is no longer supported.
Search Marketing
What’s New
- Account Status Import Blocked: To help ensure that your Search Marketing data is up-to-date, if anything happens that prevents Lyris HQ Search Marketing from downloading your previous day’s “pre-click” data (impressions, position, cost, etc.) from the search engine(s), you will be alerted in the user interface. On any screen you go to, you will see an alert warning you of the problem, and the Accounts screen will show the status for the account as “Import Blocked.” This problem would occur if you change your search engine account login credentials but forget to update Lyris for your new credentials. To fix the problem, you would edit the account in Lyris and enter the new login credentials. You would then see the missing data the following morning.
We hope you enjoy these additions to the Lyris HQ platform and encourage you to send us your feedback on these features or anything else that is on your mind. Stay tuned in the coming months for many exciting additions including more great email and search marketing capabilities, and some amazing landing page tools that are well into development.
Sincerely,
J.D. Peterson
