What's New for April 2009
General
What’s New
- For all new Lyris HQ users, once logged into Lyris HQ, you are automatically signed into the Salesforce.com support portal without having to enter any other login and password.
- In the My Stats panel on the dashboard, you can now select which Web Analytics statistics to be displayed. This saves time since you do not have to go into the Web Analytics report for the information most important to you.
What’s Changed
- Several refinements to admin role definitions to increase security and flexibility of support options.
Email Marketing
What’s New
- Note to tell you when your message was last auto saved in Message Creation.
- Multiple Suppression list selection is now available in the new message creation workflow.
- Character set and encoding options are now available in the new message creation workflow.
- Two new columns on the view message screen, Message ID and List ID, which help customers (especially those that also use our API) quickly find and identify their messages.
- An option for hiding of charts and cover flow on screens that have these visuals above data grids.
What’s Changed
- Time zones on the Message Schedule Page follow what’s set in Lyris HQ, not the local machine time.
- The Proof API call has been rewritten. Old syntax will remain but the addition of the version=2 option you’ll get the new output.
- The bounces and unsubscribes in the downloaded trigger reports now follow the date range set on the screen in the user interface.
- You can no longer create or edit groups in the old EmailLabs interface . You can manage list access through the new Lyris HQ permissions interface without the use of groups.
Search Marketing
What’s Changed
- The “Run Report” button is gone. You can select a search engine account/campaign/ad group/status without having each new filter selection require a wait state before another action can occur. In addition, the user experience has been improved:
- When you change a date range, the report runs immediately - you don’t have to click a button.
- The first time you navigate to a screen, a default report appears without the need to first click a button.
- No more messages about the need to click a button after changing a report filter.
Web Analytics
What’s New
- The Data Dissection Report is the latest report we have converted and improved from the old format. This report allows users to drill down deeper on visitor behavior to get granular insight into more than a dozen key metrics.
- The Search Report allows users to understand and analyze traffic originating from search engines.
What’s Changed
- The side navigation bar for Web Analytics has changed. The reports have been reordered to include the reports built into the new user interface at the top, and the rest at the bottom.
- Several bugs and improvements have been implemented across the new and existing reports.
We hope you enjoy these additions to the Lyris HQ platform and encourage you to send us your feedback on these features or anything else that is on your mind. Stay tuned in the coming months for many exciting additions including more great email and search marketing capabilities, and some amazing landing page tools that are well into development.
Sincerely,
J.D. Peterson
